Joshua W. Weir
Joshua Weir is a Spanish-speaking trial attorney. He focuses his practice on defending those arrested and charged with crimes in Nebraska and Iowa in both State and Federal courts. Mr. Weir has over five years of experience as a trial lawyer handling all manner of cases including federal drug conspiracy charges and first degree murder.
Mr. Weir became a partner at Dornan, Lustgarten & Troia, P.C., L.L.O., in 2010. Additionally, Mr. Weir has been a presenter at a seminar for other criminal defense attorneys to speak about his ground-breaking work in obtaining post-conviction relief.
With his ability to speak Spanish and his background in immigration law, Mr. Weir represents many immigrants charged with crimes and fights to preserve their lawful status. He is regularly consulted by defense attorneys throughout the state regarding the deportation consequences faced by their non-citizen clients.
Mr. Weir is a fifth-generation Nebraskan who obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and he also played on the Maverick football team. He attended law school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law.
